Lily Tangen is a passionate educator and a certified Elementary School Teacher. She has seventeen years of teaching experience both in the classroom and tutoring setting. In 2005 Lily earned a MA Honors degree from The University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She then went on to obtain her Post Graduate Certificate of Education from Roehampton University in London, England. Lily taught at Thomas's London Day School, Fulham and served on the management team as the Subject Coordinator for PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education). She has experience teaching in both the public and private sector.

LTT is a tutoring business owned and run by Lily Tangen and based in Rowayton, CT. Lily works with Elementary through High School students. She works one-to-one or in small groups with students as a learning support specialist. Lily's focus is on academic skill building for pre-K through sixth grade. She also teaches homework and test-taking skills, executive functioning, and attention and behavioral strategies for kindergarten through twelfth grade students. Lily has experience working with children with a range of special educational needs. She specializes in early reading and writing strategies and helps to scaffold learning that is memorable and purposeful.

Lily's teaching is based on the principle that in order for learning to be successful it needs to be enjoyable and interactive. She believes in empowering the student to recognize their strengths and to use that force to tackle their challenges. Lily's mission is to ignite and foster a love of learning in all children and to maximize their potential in the classroom. Lily lives in Rowayton and is mother to an 13 year old boy, 10 year old girl and 6 year old boy.
